The entire gearbox CAD was completed. This included two stages of gearing, the ratios going from 12:50 and 26:50. Some holes for mounting the gearbox to the drivetrain frame were also added.
We found that the original 60T gear would take up space where an axle had to go through in order for the drivetrain to work. To fix this, we went back into JVN calculator to see what other gear sizes could give us our target speed of 14-15fps and allow space for the axle. We decided for the first stage to be geared 12:50 and the second stage to be geared 26:50.
Next meeting we should add more holes to mount the gearbox to the frame, add more weight holes to the drivetrain, and CAD brackets to reinforce the corners of the frame.
We should be on schedule to complete the drivetrain fully by tomorrow. (1/13)
