Work Completed

Michael built a near full size prototype of a backboard so we could test opening mechanisms. He used brackets with holes in them and string fed through and a winch in order to have the wings automatically swing open and stop in the right position. We cut up a pizza box in order to make a extremely small scale version of a funnel so we could see the complexity of making it collapsible and what it would look like. We decided that it would be infeasible because of weight, height, complexity, and torque for us to actually build a full scale funnel. We also built and dismantled an elasticity enhanced linear accelerator. We also calculated the force required to tip over our robot using the backboard in order to find out the max height that we could build our robot.

Work for Next Meeting

Start making a bom for parts and make integrated designs and potentially cad stuff.

On Schedule?

right on time.
