We did calculations to figure out how much force is required by the springs, mostly dependent on the cocked back angle. Spring length at torque is measured at the angle that the spring is at. So a 180 degree spring would have torque 180. We also used the drill press to drill holes for 1/4" bolts and placed these bolts in some springs. We mounted these springs to aluminum pieces. We will be finishing this spring model next meeting.
