Notes

First we researched different pistons and where to buy them online, mainly on Bimba.  We also searched on multiple other sites to a lesser degree that we got from this link: http://team358.org/files/pneumatic/2007FRCPneumaticsManual.pdf. We found a possible piston, but we are not sure of the size.  The part number of the piston is FO-045-1GHDSX.  Alex made a force table on drive under our subteam folder that calculated how much force we need to lift stuff, accounting for many variables (check it out and make sure the math is right!) We needed to figure out the stroke of the piston, so we needed to take a bunch of measurements to find out the maximum distance from the edge of the drive train that the piston would need to actuate (from the edge to the tote) and the width of the drive train (accomodating the widest part of the container at the handles). Next we tried to figure out the rough dimensions of the drive train based on this information.

Work Completed

Took measurements of the containers and totes, and created a sketch of the drive train.

Challenges

Need  to still design our system, and figure out the exact stroke that we need for our pistons, and exactly where on the drive train we need to place our stuff.

Work for Next Meeting

Design our system, and create the exact position it needs to be.
