Lyle gave Mikhail the flash drive with the CAD files so that Mikhail could fiddle around with the CAD files and try to fix things if possible.

Mikhail will try to work a bit on the file at home to allow Lyle to focus on the harder things once he comes to the meeting.

Lyle came and worked on getting the holes on the top and bottom plates aligned for an hour. He failed in accomplishing this goal, and resorted to believing that Creo Plebemetric is wrong and that everything is right because he is sure all of his measurements are correct.He decided that the offset is so small that we would be able to work around the issue if it arises in the machined plate. 

After Lyle left Mikhail continued working on checking the holes misalignment. He measured out all the distances between the plates, allowing him to calculate precisely by how much Creo thinks the plates are shifted. The whole diagonal offset between the holes is 0.0197882", with a horizontal offset of 0.0089" and a vertical offset of 0.0177". The inner plate is 0.732301" away from the outer plate, but should be a nice 0.75" away. The outer hole is 0.2411" away from the end of the inner plate, which is constrained to be 0.25" away from the inner hole. This results in the small, but painful offset of the holes that was decided to be insignificant and probably a result of Creo adding a tolerance to the bend of the plate.

Although all the measurements seem to be correct, the holes are misaligned and by further inspection so are the plates.

All of the sides need to be rounded with a reasonable sized round that doesn't take off the whole side of the robot. In addition the rest of the holes for the gearbox mountings should be added to the part file. Make the rest of the gearbox modules with the mounting plates.

We are on schedule, set to be ready to finish the drivetrain CAD file by the end of Saturday.
