Work Completed

After reading yesterday's notes and with Aleksy's help, we continued to protoype the grabber - mostly the finding a way to mount the piston on the 80-20. We had completed mounting the the piston with the piston brackets on the 80-20. However, the piston brackets were not alinging correctly with the 80-20 and the quarter-twenty bolts were inefficent at going up and down the lifter. So, we unscrewed everything and started anew with screwing the 80-20 to the metal brackets to try and mount the piston w/ the piston brackets on the 80-20 again. But...we ran out of time.

Challenges

There were many inconsistencies in the 80-20 crossbars that were cut in the previous meeting. Also the lifter is sligtly more narrow in the bottom and more wide at the the top causing the lifter crossbars to not move up and doen the lifter smoothly. Since we don't have the specific part the attaches the lifter crossbars to the 80-20 to move up and down, we had to attach the bars to the metal brackets to allow it ot move smoothly. To do that, we had to cut down the 80-20 again. We had to constanlty change the length of the 80-20. Not sure if this is a challenge, but we kep doing it. This is where we ran out of time.

Work for Next Meeting

Continue prototyping.

Collaborate with lifter to design and possibly protoype a mechanism that will allow the lifter's pulley to attach to the piston and move it up and down.
