Notes

RAWBoxes turned out to be much more painful to assemble, especially since we dont have spares of any parts.

Work Completed

Jay and Lyle worked on correcting the CAD files Wagner sent back to us because the exported file was messed up and the part wasnt appearring. They re-did the exports to .dxf successfully.

Mikhail and Brendan worked on assembling the gearboxes. We have completed one gearbox and made enough plastic spacer for the rest of the gearboxes.

Challenges

Creo

One of the driveshafts was too wide at the top and the worm gear would not fit on, which led Lyle to grind it down and file it so that the gear fits on top successfully.

In addition, the washers we had turned out to be to big in outer diameter, leading them to catch on the worm gear as it turned. This led us to take plastic spacers and drill out a 11/32 size hole in each of them so that they fit on the worm shaft.

Finally, the worm gear spacers were too wide because AndyMark had the wrong part. We are currently filing these down to make them fit, but we have been refunded their price and shipped the actual spacers.

Work for Next Meeting

Assemble gearboxes and grease them.

On Schedule?

No we are behind and are expecting the machined parts to come with little time left according to the 1-2 week timeframe given by Wagner. We are requesting to have the drivetrain prioritized and shipped to us ASAP.
