Notes

Might want to think about having a more secure frame and having 6 inch wheels instead of 4 inch wheels since we have so little clearance.

Also we would want a bigger side plate since right now everything is so cramped the repairability is extremely low. Make sure that no parts block mounting of other parts.

Work Completed

We took off the strafe wheel and made it a 16:1 gearbox, then made a new mount plate and put back on the robot with 4 spacer instead of 2 so it had more traction with the ground as it was free-spinning.

We did some testing driving around and for the moment that the solenoids were working we got to shift gears.

We need at least 40 working psi to switch from tank to omni and back, will need more when there is more weight on the bot.
The bottom solenoid worked when activated manually, but we couldn't switch gears from the drive station.

Challenges

We didn't have any charged batteries, might explain the solenoid issue.

We had a lot of trouble connecting to the robot for unknown reasons.

The strafe wheel it very close to the 8020 frame, need more clearance in the future. Also very little ground clearance.
Solve solenoid issue if it persists.

Work for Next Meeting

Make superstructure for weighing down the robot.

Maybe switch solenoid controls from left and right to the triggers.

On Schedule?

We are behind schedule in that it took us a lot longer to build this than expected, but we also were only working 4 hours a week. Probably would get finished in one build season week.
