Notes

We need to order more acetals.

Work Completed

The practice bot feeder was assembled fully and put onto the robot (temporarily for a test). This feeder was assembled using the new small Banebots wheels and with acetal spacers in place of extra big wheels in order to save wheight. When we went to put the feeder onto the robot we realized that, as we had cut down the center distance of the feeder this had changed the allignment on the robot meaning that we had to do some reorganization with the feeder pulley (which probably won't be used anyways as we are thinking about switching to chain). Anyways we now only have two hex versa hubs directly on the feeder. Be sure to look at the pattern of wheels and spacers on the current configuration when attempting to build the competition feeder.

Challenges

The shaft that mounts the feeder onto the robot is very difficult to get all the way through. For future assemblies it is recomended to switch to the newly acquired thunderhex bearing and also make sure not the screw the versa hubs onto the feeder until the shaft had been passed all the way through the robot. On a different note we need to make sure that when the new belts are made for the feeder that we get proper tension, as currently a couple of the belts are longer than others causing some slippage while feeding.

Work for Next Meeting

We want to take the feeder off of the robot and then hopefully either test belt or possibly chain if possible. In order to fully test the feeder we need to get some way of holding it in place while we drive (eg the belt/chain). Another thing to do is check to make sure the encoder mount works.

On Schedule?

Yes getting the basic test was good, but there is still a lot of testing that can/should be done.
