Work Completed

Talked with Sarah about CAD and overall drivetrain design. Decided on...

- Six wheel West Coast Drive (wasn't decided today but earlier)

- Frame will be made out of versa chassis and about 27" x 32" (to leave an inch as a margin of error)

- There will be an area cut out to leave room for the feeder mechanisim (need to talk to both Sarahs later to see the measurment)

- Belts (not chains) will be used to connnect wheels

- Center wheel will be 1/8 " (i think) lowered

- Colson wheels 4 by 2 (again i think) this may be subject to change

- Motors will be moved slightly to the side to leave room for the lifter

- Started prototyping a drivetrain

Challenges

Getting everything done. We should be fine :/

Work for Next Meeting

Protype Drivetrain. The plan is to have a prototype a drivetrain by the weekend using material we have around. We found some Versa Chassis that would fit an estimate of the frame. We will need to buy T-shaped Versa Chassis connnectors and hex barrings. Other materials might be in the shop (but will be SUPER scattered) while other will need to be purshased. When the prototype of the drivetrain is done then so should the drivetrain CAD. This will allow us to see what are problems within the prototype and how that can be fixed within CAD. Also by having a prototype drivetrain we will be able to get drivers started.
