Work Completed

  • driver practice
    • set controls for primary / secondary driver
    • scoring cube on scale
      • still need practice vault, switch, scoring cube with just camera, defense, etc.
  • intake assembly kit complete (needs checking)
  • gearboxes for comp bot began to get assembled
  • robot weighs 101lbs currently, no ramps
  • tested a few ways of deploying the climber hook passively
  • tightened shaft collars on dt, helps with the clicky sound
  • coding added variable speed to intake wheels,

Work for Next Meeting

  • get things ready for comp bot (replicate all the new parts on practice bot, gather all materials to make the same changes on Thursday)
    •  
      • 4x 10:1 775pro gearboxes for intake, replace the ones currently on practice
      • (done) 1x 100:1 w/ bag motor for intake rotation
      • have 2x 4:1 ready to put on comp elev
    • make
      • intake lexan back stop 
      • elev cable guide lexan bracket mount
      • new elev brake shaft
      • etc. see doc
  • remove a link from elev chain, it's too loose
  • mount encoders and GET AUTO WORKING
  • figure out camera placement
  • Ramp work below probably on hold until design changes are finalized
    • Smoke(?) and surgical tubing and spectra line magic that needs to be implemented to have the robot actually rotate the lift cylinders into position and then lift one or two other robots
    • Get frisbee bot, weigh it down to 130 lbs and drive it on ramp, actuate it, remove it and repeat like 50 times. Need to prove the cover material will hold up and not break.
  • Continue bumpers
    • When numbers arrive, finish blue rear bumper
    • Cut/install mounting hardware on all bumpers
    • drill some holes and make sure mounting/removing with pins is quick/easy
  • Testing
    • does PID for elevator work as expected, dosn't slam it up or down, and doesn't over-accelerate? (<- for programming)
    • actual time for elevator to go full height & back
    • time takes for entire lifting routine (get on platform, deploy ramp, other robot climbs on, lift)
    • dt speed?
  • Sponsor sign for robot
  • switch to single speed gearboxes if still over
  • Pit Design
    • Finish new pit wall for banners
  • Robot cart
    • execute Bryn and Jared's design, get er done
  • Make buttons
  • Make awards to give other teams?
