Work Completed

Wrote about our current and past prototyping ideas on drive, including pros/cons and a list of design constraints.

Then, we worked with Chris to create a drawing (also in drive) of the arm as it would be on the robot. We figured out what the CAD team would need from us to complete their design, and we got to work sketching out a prototype with different testable elements. 

We plan on testing a few different things: type of wheel (compliant, mechanum, traction, omni), height, depth, and offset between the top and bottom rollers. 

Challenges

Assembling the prototype was slow because we were missing a lot of people.

Work for Next Meeting

Create clear parameters and identify all of our designs with names.

Create dimensioned drawings for both prototype ideas and work on finishing constructing our arm prototype.

Things to test in both of our prototypes:

how consistent is ball intake; what is the ideal spacing between the top and bottom arms; how far back should the bottom axle be
