Work Completed

We decided on another BAG motor to drive the wheels on the back climber stilt. We decided to attach the motor using an L bracket and use a pulley system to connect the motor to the axle. Instead of making a new assembly for this, we decided to create a subassembly within the front stilt assembly, where we could supress certain parts for the back stilt assembly without creating a new file from scratch. We imported the necessary parts for the back stilt assembly and CADed the L bracket that would connect the side extrusion of the stilt to the BAG motor. We also decided on the pulley ratio to go with using JVN design calculator, where we played with ratios to get a similar speed to our regular drivetrain.

Challenges

We had some mating issues within the assembly which slowed down the process, but they were easily resolved.

Work for Next Meeting

Next meeting we should complete assembly of the back stilt CAD and take a look at the geometry of the cargo mechanism.

On Schedule?

Yes, we should be on schedule to finish majority of the back stilt CAD by tomorrow.
