Work Completed

We warmed up going through an obstacle course a few times, carrying cubes from one end to the other.

Then, we created a line of gaffers tape down the length of the field, and most of practice was spent driving back and forth in a straight line - trying to keep all 3 wheels on the line at all times. After a while, I began timing Sam to see how fast he could do it, adding a second every time all three wheels left the line. The best time we got was 11 seconds to go there and back.

Then, we set up some perpendicular gaffers tape far away from the driver station, and Sam practiced aligning the robot to it. We discovered that this is a lot harder than we thought it would be, so we worked on it for a good 20 minutes.

Challenges

We don't have this year's robot yet, and Atla-Z's intake can't "drop" cubes (just open the intake without spinning the wheels) so there isn't a lot for Marlow to do (otherwise, I would have had them work together to stack cubes, but stacking is very hard without the drop function)

Work for Next Meeting

Keep practicing aligning with the gaffers tape.

Figure out something Marlow can do so she and Sam can work on communication
