drilled through and tapped gearbox plates
- took us a while to start working
- had to file out a hole on the gearbox to fit the motor
1) Delayed working on gearbox plates because there weren't written instructions to follow until knowledgeable people arrived. 2) Inner diameter for gearbox plate holes for mini-cim shafts were routed too small, as they were inadvertently included with narrowed holes for bearings. But the real issue was agreeing-upon/finding an efficient tool in the shop to widen the holes. Attempts with triangular metal files left very textured abrasions on round edges -- shop needs circular metal files. 3) "Measure twice, cut once", we lucked out in countersinking the correct side of the gearbox plate closest to the mini-cims as it wasn't recognized the plate is not horizontally symmetrical until after countersinking (--MK)
assemble the gearbox and add gearbox to frame
replace bolts on wheels (and locktite them)
