Work Completed

Comp Bot:

  • added climber driving motor
  • added chain to hatch mechanism
    • connected chain to hatch carriage (so that it can actually move side to side)
  • shortened back lead screw
  • replaced 3D printed part at back of hatch mechanism with metal part
  • replace hatch beak pneumatic tubing with straight cut tubing because there is a leak!!
  • added flag onto climber

Practice Bot:

  • mounted hatch supports

Challenges

  • 3D parts sure like to crack, and thats exactly what happened with the 3D printed motor mount for the driving climber motor
    • we replaced it though!!
  • there are air leaks everywhere

Work for Next Meeting

things to do at competition:

  • ziptie or chain tensioner needs to be added to the back climber axle bc that chain is loose
  • replace potentiometer ziptie with 4-40
  • mount Arduino and light sensors
  • mount handles
  • replace leaking 3-way connector
  • deal with climber wires (they're precariously in the way)
  • put something on bottom of cargo hand so it doesn't touch the carpet (some rubber or something)
  • mount ultrasonic sensors

practice bot: (prioritize in bold)

  • replace 3D printed bit at back of hatch mechanism with metal part (can happen before or after mounting beak to the support structure)
  • finish assembling the cargo arm and supports
  • mount cargo arm
  • mount cargo hand
  • mount bike break
  • finish assembling climber stilts
  • mount climber axles
  • oh joy there's so much left

On Schedule?
