Comp Bot Electronics System

  • Wired climber drive motor
  • Wired cargo limit switch
  • Attached and tested cargo pot and hatch string pot
    • We found values for offsets and multipliers but they should be tested again at competition
    • Data is on Vasista's computer for now
  • Adam tested LEDs using his LED controller but Billy is going to write code to run them off the arduino since we will already have one on the robot

Billy got Sam caught up on Arduino light sensor stuff... and they made a computer dedicated to it for competiton (labeled accordingly)

Quickly configured limelight on 2019 robot (I think) but we kept it out of bag to continue working with it...

TESTING :)))

  • Drivetrain: drives, need to get drive correction working though with the encoders
  • Cargo Arm: works with manual controls, but I think controls are opposite of what we want them to be; pot works as well
  • Cargo Intake: works, but controls for this are still jank; buttons that I believe should be controlling a piston make this spin in and out???
  • Hatch Carriage: side to side works with basic manual controls, pot works as well
  • Hatch Intake / Place: works as 1 motion to intake hatch and 1 movement to place a hatch
  • Climber Stilts: works but definitely needs PID to keep them at the same height
  • Climber Drive: works flawlesslly *knock on some wood*

Challenges

Little time but all good in the end

Pneumatic leaking

Compressor is getting very hot, do we want to swap for a bigger one?

Work for Next Meeting

  1. Wire electrical system & pneumatics of practice bot
  2. Robot Code!!!
    • Talk to Marlow & Sam about buttons and controls for the robot (as of now climber and drivetrain is on 1; hatch and cargo is on 2
    • Figure out this issue with buttons or constants bc it is perplexing
      • Cargo intake is running off of what I think should be running pistons so I'm confused still
    • Integrate ultrasonic sensors
    • Add code for limelight to drive to the hatch
    • Integrate line sensors to hatch pid
    • Single climber command
    • Cargo set points
  3. Mount entire strip of line sensors to pbot and get them integrated with hatch set points
  4. Continue the schematic for the electrical system using the schematic software stuff --> talk to Malia & Caden about this if you are interested
  5. Vision
    • mount the limelight on practice bot and get it configured
    • we want a drive and angle self to vision targets on rocket ship

COMP BOT:

  1. Pneumatics (comp bot) --> Fix leak on hatch piston
  2. Comp Bot electrical system (TO DO AT COMP)
    • check if encoders are working
    • the ultrasonic sensors
    • (and find a home for) the arduino
    • light sensors
