  • Brainstormed ideas of climber mechanism 
    • 4265 2016 season 
    • 2056 2016 season 
    • 2 designs: two hooks using telescope mechanism, one hook brought up with a metal piece which is retractes leaving a hanging rope 
    • second design allows for the robot to move before wenching up but is more unstable and is not as effective when you're the only robot climbing 
    • first design takes up more room but is more effective overall 
  • Parts list:
    • either 2 or 3 sections in the telescope 
    • possibly using springs or belts to elevate the sections?
    • pistons 
    • strings 

Challenges

  • Finding information online - not a lot there 
  • Deciding between one hook and two hook design 
  • Finding internal workings of telescope - multiple different ways to do it
