Work Completed
- Issues with the shooter's geometry were established and are being resolved.
- The shooter's geometry was redone addressing earlier established issues.
- Moved wheel and inner parts of the hood to new locations to allow for more compression on the ball (3/4" instead of 1/8")
- Resolved the issue of removing too much material from the pulley (This was the issue that limited which wheels we could use).
Challenges
- CAM file for the pulley was close but had a few flaws
- Missing pocket under the shooter's wheel
- The thinned part was 1/16" instead of 1/8"
- SolidWorks is very picky about the order in which you do things
Work for Next Meeting
- Determine which wheels to test and put them on the BOM along with other needed parts that aren't already in the shop!
- Finish resolving problems with the shooter being
- Location of the flywheel
- Location of the Gearbox (which depends on belt length)
- CAD outer parts of the hood
- CAD adjustable portion of the hood
- CAD steering motor location
