Work Completed

- Finished gearbox plate design for the front gearbox plate

- Jonathan and Chris looked at geometry for the intake.

- Initially designed an intake that compressed the balls 3/4 inch max and articulates upward as the ball resists compression

Challenges

- Space restriction between the mounting point for the gearbox and the front frame extrusion required some testing to get the geometry right

- Need a balance between compression of the ball against the bumper and compression of the ball against the ground while still having contact with the ball while it is up against the bumper and the ground

- Will probably have to compress more and have an intake that is fixed

Work for Next Meeting

- finish the back gearbox plate and assemble the gearbox

- Make a "crayola CAD" model of the robot with each subsystem as a blocky object just to see how everything will fit on the robot

- Look at some more designs for intake and discuss with mentors, continue working on geometry, finalize the following

   - Articulate or fixed?

  - Does it take up the full width of the robot?

  - How much do we want to compress? What is a good range?

On Schedule?

A bit behind on the goal for the final assembled drivetrain

Intake might be a little behind (haven't started on CAD of the actual design yet) but still on pace with other subteams, better to be careful and make sure the geometry works before jumping into modeling the real thing.
