Work Completed
Attached strings to moving part of elevator on either side of the mechanism. Used shaft collars to secure the strings to the central shaft. Removed a link of the chain to tighten it. We tested the prototype and it worked but got stuck about 80% of the way up.
Challenges
The elevator got stuck at some points while testing it. The string was slipping before we attached it with shaft collars.
Work for Next Meeting
1 Find out why it was getting stuck at some points when testing. Otherwise it's basically finished.
