Work Completed

  • Reworked the geometry of the intake to have a pivot point centered at 2" from the inside of the front DT extrusion rather than 6" as before
  • Decided to use pneumatics to move the feeder instead of a chain and sprocket, mainly for simplicity and also saving space
  • Decided to drive the roller axle with a 775 Pro
  • Gear reduction of 10:1, from a 6 tooth 775 pinion to a 60T 1/2" Hex bore gear
  • CADed the plate that covers the gears, added the spacers and shoulder screws
  • Routed extrusions for the drivetrain, deburred the parts
  • Work on the turret shooter

Challenges

  • None of significance for intake, except that we are behind schedule

Work for Next Meeting

- Continue CAM on other extrusions

- finish climber and shooter CAD

- finish intake CAD and work out pneumatics/pistons

- FINISH ALL CAD ASAP

 

On Schedule?

No, but will probably finish core subsystem CAD within 1-3 days and make our final tweaks on the robot as a whole in the next couple of days after that as subsystems are being assembled.
